A brief history
At Rhys-Thomas, we cherish our heritage. Of Welsh descent, Rhys -our great grandfather- first descended onto the Patagonian lands back in 1880, overcoming many difficulties that implied settling down on a completely unknown land. He successfully established himself on the skirts of Valle-de-Esquel in Southern Argentina by 1887. By 1891, Rhys had built the first grain mill machine in the region, bringing groundbreaking technology to improve the diet and food quality for the settlers on the area.

Everything is done in house.
Our manufacturing plant is located in the heart of Central America, Nicaragua. A place blessed with lush forests, beaches, and a vibrant agricultural economy which in turn, allow us to understand and better address the needs of the grain processing industries of today for both developed and emerging markets.

Our plant is fitted with state of the art CNC plasma cutters, CNC punch, CNC lathes, Heat treatment center among many other fabrication processes.
